2020 New Year New Championship
With only a number of weeks left to wait, the excitement levels are really starting to ramp up for what is set to be a spectacular opening to the 2020 Valvoline Irish Forestry Championship, the hugely popular Carrick-on-Suir Motor Club Willie Loughman Memorial Forest Rally on February 16th.
2020 will see the event return to the town of Carrick-on-Suir with the central Carraig Hotel acting as Rally HQ, while the nearby Mill River Business Park, just over a Kilometer away, acting as the centralised hub of all things rallying, with both Scrutiny and Service all held within the site.
The classic Carrick stages of old are back with a bang in 2020, with the event team promising a hugely enjoyable route of 60km competitive action over six high-speed stages. A 90-minute service halt between stages Four & Five is designed to allow crews time to make all possible repairs to their cars for a final charge through the Kilkenny & Waterford forests, as well as having time to stock up on a bite to eat for the crews!
The first car to leave the line, the hugely promising J1000 stars of the future will be at 9am, with a scheduled return of 4pm. Further information and the Regs/Entry Form are now available both on this website and also on the club website and of course on Rally.ie, but make sure to check out http://www.carrickonsuirmotorclub.com/ for all the latest info!
